TECHXNY features cool enterprise hardware solutions (continued)

Portsmith
Portsmith (at http://www.portsmith.com) demonstrated their latest models of Ethernet Cradles designed for Palm handheld computers. The cradles offer location-independent, synchronization-level access to critical data from anywhere within the enterprise. Portsmith Ethernet Cradle products are designed to seamlessly integrate into existing network infrastructures.

Half Keyboard
The Half Keyboard (at http://www.halfkeyboard.com) is an ingeneous piece of engineering. This wearable keyboard solution allows you to type using natural keystrokes with just your left hand. This has numerous applications, particularly for those whose jobs require them to be away from a desk, such as doctors, warehouse workers, etc. You can see it in use in Figure D.

The Half Keyboard has a whole lot of applications. Roll over picture for a larger image.

Conclusion
As you can see, there were some really cool hardware solutions on display at TECHXNY. Palm's commitment to the enterprise market was evident, and it was a lot of fun to meet the people who make such amazing things possible. Be sure to check out all these great products and learn more about how Palm and its partners can enhance your job.

Of course, this wasn't all TECHXNY had to offer. To learn about the great software solutions on display, check out my article, "Enterprise software solutions all the rage at TECHXNY," elsewhere in this issue.
