Investing in Palm handhelds: readers tell their own stories of ROI results (continued)
I kept all my "customers'" names, addresses, telephone numbers, etc. in my Palm handheld. And, more important, I kept all appointments in its Date Book. If I received a call that the veteran had to change his appointment date or time, all I had to do was go to the old appointment, touch the touch screen, and I change the date or time. The ease of this was incredible. Further, all data for invoicing my employer, etc., was easily held in the Palm handheld, later to be uploaded to my main computer, where I would fax the invoices to my employer. It was just about all electronic and easy to do. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this consulting, for six months. Other issues made me end the activity.

Conclusion As you can see, there's some pretty compelling anecdotal evidence out there that Palm computers more than pay for themselves. Of course, my favorite was Dr. Chandra's observation that saving lives is priceless. Please continue to send your ROI stories to showme@palmpowerenterprise.com.
