Manage your Outlook contact info on your Palm handheld with KeyContacts (continued)
You can synchronize folders in Outlook with folders on the handheld as well, so you shouldn't have to do folder-to-category linking. You'll be able to transfer an unlimited number of Outlook Contacts folders, including subfolders, and public folders, to KeyContacts on the handheld. The initial synchronization process includes a wizard that will let you add as many folders to the handheld as you need. Smart synchronization will recognize when KeyContacts folders are on your handheld and you are synchronizing for the first time with a second PC. You can then choose which handheld folders you want to synchronize with Microsoft Outlook on the second PC.
Customization, search, and security There are a variety of ways you can customize KeyContacts to suit you better. You can view phone numbers in standard or detailed list format, and you can customize colors for the background, text, banding, and the selection on the handheld. To immediately organize new contacts, you can choose the folder and category for each beamed contact you receive into KeyContacts. Also, because you can choose to keep contact information in both KeyContacts and the Address Book, you can choose to receive beamed contacts and business cards into either application.
You can look up various contact information using the first name, last name, company name, and File As fields as a search criteria. KeyContacts has a "Smart Look Up" feature that can find contacts by searching in fields that are not necessarily displayed.
If you're interested in trying out KeyContacts for yourself, a demo is available. Information on how to get it can be found at http://www.chapura.com.
